I have reached two milestones with my original novel! (the f/f arranged marriage featuring the scrupulous cavalry general and the misanthropic mage):

1. the draft document is now over 50k. Now, this is not like an accurate number of how long the story itself is, because I've currently got all the outline and the drafted stuff in the one scrivener document, but like. it's still a significant milestone
2. I'm five scenes from being done with the first draft. Again, I should point out that I'm maybe using 'first draft' idiosyncratically-- I outlined, and then I wrote a draft and in the process of writing that first draft I realised there were some scenes that were missing like "oh, yeah, I need some scenes that show Queen Rainfall being a diplomatic dick" or "I'm going to need some scenes establishing Jade and Snowflake's friendship." But I'm planning to do a full read through and then write a list of the missing scenes and make that a problem for the second draft
