wolffylunaHello, person who has matched with me, or is treating me! No matter what you make, I'm probably going to really like it, but I know it's much easier to come up with an idea if you've got some guidance.
Please do not be intimidated by how long the general likes list is. I started doing exchanges years ago, and added likes as I came across them, so it’s gotten… long. But hey, at least it’s a wide variety of things where if you include one of them, you can be pretty sure I’ll like your fic/art/podfic?

- I like the whole gamut from fluff with a minor conflict to angst that gets resolved to completely tragic tragedies. - Tragedies that are inevitable and tragedies where the ground work for them was laid well before anyone could predict the tragic outcome, so as soon as the characters know a tragic outcome is a possibility it is too late, are both very good. - As are bittersweet endings, or angst with a happy ending
- Hurt/comfort (hurt/comfort > comfort no hurt > hurt no comfort.)
- I like comforters who are being/trying to be relentlessly practical, or who express their care for the comfortee through actions more than words.
- comforters and comfortees trying to be stoic (and not necessarily succeeding).
- comforters and comfortees pretending that what is going on has nothing to do with one of them being hurt, they’re just being randomly nice/ they’re not hurt at all!
- comfort after nightmares/panic attacks/other PTSD symptoms is very good. Especially nightmares. (Nightmares are such a good vehicle for revealing things about a character.)
- As is comfort after more recent traumatic events, such as tending injuries after a battle or a character has been rescued from captivity
- comforters who don’t know what they are doing
I am a big fan of the hurt being a character having a minor illness or injury that isn’t particularly concerning but does make them feel miserable
Mutual pining/wanting to get together but not be able because [reason], with [reason] being resolved at the end (example reasons: mistaken identity, “I am your boss and it would be unethical”, but in general I am not picky about this dynamic)
- (Or, of course “I should not take advantage of you!” “You are very much not taking advantage of me, what are you talking about?”)
- Kissing! Forehead kisses, kisses on the cheek, full on make outs: kissing is great!
- Cuddling! I feel the same way about cuddling as I do about kissing! It’s all good. I especially like characters falling asleep leaning against each other. Or characters holding each other, or a character resting their cheek or chin against the other.
- I like exploring the messed up dynamics and/or the terrible-idea-ness of the relationship, if applicable.
- Characters giving into temptation, eg knowing that a particular relationship is a bad idea, or would be breaking their vow of chastity, but going into it anyway.
- Politics! I love characters trying to navigate it, the tension between their political persona and they’re actual persona, the ethical dilemmas of power, all of it!
- Loyalty, fealty, feudalism, ‘is it gay or just feudalism?’. Dramatic expression of loyalty. Intense loyalties, conflicted loyalties: they're all good.
- Two characters sharing a body
- Dancing, either partner dances or just both people happening to dance at the same time.
- Hair, hair brushing and hair braiding.
- Crossdressing
- Religion, religious discussions and worldbuilding about religion. - I am not invested in any particular religion being right or wrong in a given particular fictional work or world, and I am happy with whatever interpretation you would like to pick. I’ll be thrilled either way!
- Horses! Whether they're just in the background, or are a major part of the art/plot. I love horses.
- Pet rats
- “What if X happened instead of what happened in canon?”/”What if Y didn’t die?”/canon divergence AUs
- Crying
- Geology. Plot relevant rocks, people giving each other rocks, rampant geological symbolism: it’s all good.
- Third and second person POV
- As a general note: anything I’ve mentioned in my general likes, I also like in art. I’ve copied over most of the relevant likes over here as well, so they’re easy to find, but if there’s something in the above list that takes your fancy as something to put in art, go right ahead!
- I am big fan on drawings/re-drawings of canon scenes. If you’ve got a moment in canon you’ve been dying to draw, I would love to see it.
- Kissing! Forehead kisses, kisses on the cheek, full on make outs: kissing is great!

Hua Cheng/Xie Lian
- The devotion! Across a ridiculous amount of time, and to a ridiculous degree! I love it! Hua Cheng’s “I will do/be whatever Xie Lian wants” is potentially concerning, but it’s balanced out by the fact that Xie Lian is very much on team “Hua Cheng should get to be himself and get to be happy.” But I love the dynamic deeply.
- I’d be really interested in hurt/comfort with these two. They’ve been through so much, and they deserve good things (even if they maybe have to go through some added bad things to get there.) I’d be happy with either (or both of them at the same time) being the hurt one or the comforter. - I’d be particularly interested in post-nightmare comfort, if you would like to write that. • Art: I’d be interested in drawings of any of the shippy moments in the books (or shippy moments you came up with!) - Things like 'chapter 190' or 'Wuming’s existence' count as shippy to me, if you’d like to make something darker.
Xie Lian/Jun Wu, Jun Wu/Hua Cheng, Jun Wu & Xie Lian
- [slams metaphorical tankard on the table] just fuck me up
- I love characters trying to corrupt other characters. And White No Face gets so deliciously close with Xie Lian. But I also love the antagonism. Xie Lian tries so hard, does his best to resist, meanwhile White No Face is trying to traumatise him to make him become him. It’s great, and I love it.
- I love also how Jun Wu tries to make Xie Lian exactly like him it’s such a fun dynamic
- We don’t get to see much of Hua Cheng and Jun Wu, but man. What we see (esp in chapter 190) is so good. I love Jun Wu trying to make Hua Cheng like him, Supreme to Supreme, or trying to make him into the perfect subordinate (unlike his subordinates, who turned against him--) -For Hua Cheng/Jun Wu, I love stuff about that missing period of time between 190 and 191 when Xie Lian is unconscious. So much room for fucked up conversations
- I imagine that during Xie Lian’s second banishment, he still occasionally had run ins with White No Face, and I would potentially be interested in fic of one of those times. He’s way less powerful and way less lucky, and he’s already been traumatised by White No Face—any run ins would be horrible for Xie Lian (but probably very fun for the reader! 😉)
- For art: I’d be interested in art of any other their confrontations, or chapter 190 (including Hua Cheng and Jun Wu’s interactions), or White No Face creepily comforting Xie Lian about a thing he did.
- I love love love any combination of them having conversations that become so much creepier in context!
Feng Xin & Mu Qing & Xie Lian
- Xianle Trio my Xianle Trio! God I love the dynamics: Feng Xin and Mu Qing not liking each other but forced into the proximity by orbiting Xie Lian/ Xie Lian being a human shaped get along shirt. The way they all feel like they failed and were failed by each other in book 4. Those bitter bitter 800 years, and the slow blossoming of a friendship after Xie Lian reascends. So good!
- I am a big fan of post canon fic where they just. Try and make gestures towards repairing their relationship.
- I’m also a big fan of all variants of “Feng Xin and/or Mu Qing find out about [insert thing that happened while they weren’t there]
- I’m also interested in fic of what the hell they were thinking when they did the Fu Yao and Nan Feng thing.
- art: hugs! Training martial arts together! Eating, either actually good food or something alarming Xie Lian has made!
Political machinations and drama going everywhere! People who do the right thing getting fucked over! People who do not do the right thing also getting fucked over, maybe at a later date! Less exclamation point-ily, I love all the characters. I love the fact most of them have tragic arcs or chunks-of-arcs. It is very good and I am having trouble articulating its very goodness. Feel free with what you make for me hit any tone between “things are going well! :D” to “things are going well... for now” to “everything is terrible and everyone I loved has died.” NB: I am a novel person who hasn’t actually seen the live action TV show, so if you give me a something eg featuring the yin iron*, I am going to be politely puzzled. *one of the few things I know changed in the adaption! I really do not know much about the show, sorry.
Solo: Mo Xuanyu, Mo Xuanyu & Nie Huaisang, Mo Xuanyu/Nie Huaisang, Mo Xuanyu & Jin Guangyao
- putting these together because they are all about one of my faves, Mo Xuanyu
- I am a big fan of seeing what people come up with when they have to make a character out of box of scraps in a cave, and Mo Xuanyu is so good for that. We never actually see him alive, ‘on screen,’ but we see what people have to say about him… and we can’t even be sure how accurate it is, because they could be lying! I love it so much
- That said: I like Mo Xuanyu as a trans woman or otherwise having a Non Cis Gender Situation. I like Mo Xuanyu to be neurodivergent (in the expansive sense, not just autism/adhd/etc, feel free to give ‘em psychosis) and portrayed sympathetically about it. I like Mo Xuanyu to have done some fucked up stuff as one of Jinlintai’s pet demonic cultivators.
- I also love the relationship between him and Nie Huaisang. Nie Huaisang is using him-- does he ever realise? When does he realise? How does he feel about that? How does Nie Huaisang feel about Mo Xuanyu (a useful idiot? Someone who’s somehow even more pathetic than him? Someone he wished he could be honest friends with?)?
also: what the hell is going on with Mo Xuanyu and Jin Guangyao? The story we get told in by outsiders to the situation doesn’t quite make sense, and well. Neither Mo Xuanyu or Jin Guangyao is talking. (Like, it’s not impossible that Mo Xuanyu made a pass at Jin Guangyao? But it’s also very possible that’s a convenient excuse or cover story on Jin Guangyao’s part.) Did they get along, and Jin Guangyao felt he needed to get rid of him for some political purpose? Was there seething resentment on one or both sides? What were their day to day interactions like before it all exploded.

- art: [equally grabby hands] or having an awful time!
- I also love love symbolic art and Mo Xuanyu is so good for that
The Silmarillion! I love all the opportunities for delicious angst, and the many different character interpretations that can all be correct because each character gets, like, two lines of direct dialogue a piece. I also love the tragedy and capital-D Doom in the Silmarillion, as you can probably guess by what characters I’ve picked.
Solo: Celebrimbor, Celebrimbor & Narvi, Celebrimbor & Sauron, Celebrimbor/Sauron
- I’m putting these all together because they all feature My Fave, and I want similar things
- I love Celebrimbor having feelings about his family: turning against them, what it means to be the last Feanorian standing, how other characters feel about how he feels about his family, it’s so good
- I also like him as a craftsman. If you make me fic or art about him + some other characters working together on a project, making things in a forge, that sort of thing, I would love it.
- I also like art and fic about the contrast and differences between elves and dwarves, or elves and maiar
- Also, give me little conversations that become so much worse knowing the inevitable tragedy, I live for it.
I have requested every solo character and every ship in this fandom.
I love the character dynamics in this, and the ambient suckitude going on in their lives (excluding after the True Ending), the huge personal revelations happening in the middle of the night at summer camp. I also love the nightmare-logic Protestantism going on. As someone who likes bad things happening to characters that maybe get made better, and religious themes, this is very much a canon made for me!
And did I mention the characters? I love them all, especially Venus. They are the best worst girls. I love the layers to them, and how they are all more than what they initially seem to be. There all observant, and they care deeply about wrong and right, but they don’t necessarily have the power to change things (until the true ending, that is.) And they all need a hug. I like psychological/religious/body horror aspects of canon, and the implied story of having to work out how to live your life after the revelation of being the Devil.
I am quite happy for fic or art for any of the routes/endings
Some notes on dynamics I like between the characters:
For Venus and Jupiter, I love the dynamic they have as the ‘best’ kids of Group West, who are really bad at being actually good. They may seem more good from the outside than Neptune, but... And the Seven Minutes In Heaven scene, with it’s horrible awkwardness and the tension between what they want to want and what they actually do and the near strangulation is so good. As is the conversation they have about authority and not having to touch someone to touch them.
For Venus and Neptune, just as Venus+Jupiter is the better kids vs the bad kid, Venus+Neptune is the bad kids vs the good kid who failed, and that’s so good. And I love how insightful they are with each other even if they don’t fully get it (eg the “your kindness will be full of that want” conversation, while Venus is trying to comfort Neptune as best she can.) And the contrast between rule breaking Neptune and “That’s! I’m! Illegal!” Venus is so great too.
For Neptune and Jupiter, I love the [wiggle hands] seeming opposites attract thing. Their scene in the closet is so good, and that layer of pretense and hiding and love in their relationship is great.
And I love all three, and I love them all being in a relationship. The way they work together, the way in the true ending they all lift each other up and try to make the camp/the world a better place, being the worst girls since Eve... It’s so good, I love it.
Prompts:
- I love love love post canon things for any of the endings. How do the characters cope with being the only one who became the devil? How do the other two deal with how they became closer over camp? Or, what happens after the true ending
- A snippet of conversation during one of the nights or activities where they didn’t meet the devil
- how exactly does a storm of hands, an inky lake, and a sunlit wing creature hug? Let’s find out
- art: some or all of them just hanging out
