Nov. 20th, 2025 07:26 amWhen I was visiting San Francisco, I discovered that it is noticeably cheaper to buy English translated danmei in the US than in Australia. What would I do with such purchasing power? Simple: I would by the first volumes of a few series (Yuwu, Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish, Qian Jin Jiu and Guardian.) That way, I could sample a bunch of series, find out which I liked, and thus rationalise my TBR list a bit.
It was a brilliant plan! With just one flaw: I have become this Gru meme.

This didn’t rationalise my TBR! It made it worse!

Date: 2025-11-20 03:27 pm (UTC)fwiw, I've read three of the four of those, and I'd recommend Guardian the highest. Bonus, it's the shortest. (I haven't read QJJ yet, tho I'm really looking forward to it). I can give info about any of the three if you think it'll helpful in NOT spending a ton of money on them...
