My family has found an amazing thing. It's the Scream Cool Pad XL.

It was originally designed for dogs, and is sold in pet shops, but it so awesome for humans.

It is a gel pad that transfers heat away from you when you are contact with it, cooling you. It requires no refridgeration or power. It just transfers the heat. It does heat up if you use it continuously for a few hours, and it takes a few hours for it to cool enough to be useful for cooling you. (Also, even the largest size isn't quite the size of an adult. But it's large enough.)

Too hot to go to sleep? Put this over your sheets, and lie on top of it. Too hot to walk around your house? Wear it as a cape. Also, it works quite well as a weighted lap blanket that makes you cold.

They are such a good, and the only reason I've been coping with this heatwave.
