Jan. 28th, 2019 11:04 amA look at how the author played with the economics or a minecraft server. I find these sort of analyses very interesting, especially considering the sort of things that are obvious to some people and not to others. (For example, one of the ways this author got so rich was by reading the patch notes. Because it took a little bit of time for the server to get patched, she had time to work out how the changes would affect the value of different items, and act accordingly.)
An article of male precocious puberty, also the traditional 'But what if adversity made me who I am?' thing. It's still an interesting read.
'The Asterisk War Sucks', a long, in depth video series about why one anime sucks so bad. It's really interesting as an analysis of why this story doesn't work (largely because it's a Frankenstein's monster with no heart and little to say), plus a comparison with a weirdly similar show that sucked much less.
Has anyone else found something interesting recently?
