Jul. 6th, 2019 09:15 amI have not met a group of people more prone to bus driver’s holidaying than Warhammer store employees.
Last evening I went to the local Warhams store to do some painting, and the other person at the painting table complimented how my minis looked so far. I said his Deepkin looked cool. It was overall a pretty normal interaction, even if it was a more– sociable interaction than usual, if that makes sense? Like ‘mutual complimenting over miniatures’ does happen, but usually only if one of the parties is particularly extroverted,
A few minutes later he asked to take a closer look. ‘Sure!’ I said.
He noticed that I was using Leadbelcher with a wash of Drakenhof Nightshade, and asked if I had heard about Grey Knights Steel, and then proceeded to show me some examples of it on some his miniatures.
I say it looks cool (mostly because I want to compliment his miniatures) and thank him for the tip.
He says not to worry, because… he actually works at that store, and he just happened to be hanging out there on his day off.
He went to his place of work, on his day off, and recommended products to people.
YEP.
