There is a freezer based cold war going on in my house. My mother has many frozen fruits, waiting for the day she has the spoons to go on a jam making frenzy (though will accept them being used for other food making purposes). My father would like to store a tactical nuclear supply of frozen dumplings.

This cold war has started heating up, now that my mother is on a trip, and my father's dumpling-lust has only increased.

Yesterday evening, he decided he would free up some space by defrosting some "grapes" to feed to the birds the next day.

Reader, they were not grapes. They were cherries. He just hadn't looked inside the bag? Or doesn't know what cherries look like? I'm honestly not sure.

So, this morning, for breakfast, I made an emergency 'Save the cherries!' apple and cherry crumble.

It's quite nice, especially for a first attempt. Though it's ended up a bit sickeningly sweet.

There's just one problem related to this crumble. It's a crumble big enough for three people. I am currently the only person currently in this house that likes crumble.

Send help. (Preferably help that likes crumble.)
