Hello, person who I have been matched with! No matter what you make, I'm probably going to really like it, but I know it's much easier to come up with an idea if you've got some guidance. If you have an idea unrelated to these prompts, also go ahead! I’m guaranteed to like what you make. I’ve also got why I like certain ships mixed in with the prompts.

While I’ve listed separate art prompts for most of the ships, feel free to use the writing prompts as art prompts (or the art prompts as writing prompts!) Length is not related to how much I like the ships, and more to how many prompts I could come up with off the top of my head. (And lack of art prompts isn’t related to whether I want art for a ship or not, but likewise to whether I could think of one off the top of my head, also.)

Things I like:

• fluff that has a minor conflict. Things like ‘my SO has had a bad day: I'm gonna make it better!’ or ‘oh no, we forgot that [event] is coming up and have to quickly prepare!’
• Hurt/comfort
• Angst with a happy ending
• Mutual pining/wanting to get together but not be able because [reason], with [reason] being resolved at the end
• Kissing! Forehead kisses, kisses on the cheek, full on make outs: kissing is great!
• Cuddling! I feel the same way about cuddling as I do about kissing! It’s all good. I especially like characters falling asleep leaning against each other.
• For some ships (they'll be specified in the prompts) I like exploring the messed up dynamics and/or the terrible-idea-ness of the relationship. (Drawing that symbolically is highly encouraged)
• I love characters giving into temptation, for lack of a better description? Like, knowing that a particular relationship is a bad idea, but going into it anyway.
• While I love fluff deeply, with femslash I also love stories where the protagonists are flawed, or the plot ends up dark, or both.
• Rule 63/genderbends, especially when it increases the number of female characters in a fic.
• Politics! I love characters trying to navigate it, the tension between their political persona and they’re actual persona, the ethical dilemmas of power, all of it!
• Dancing, either partner dances or just both people happening to dance at the same time.
• For art, I like coloured lighting and unusual/restricted palettes. For example, things like the pallettes in this (http://wolffyluna.tumblr.com/post/162039926194/askthestargazers-i-saw-some-friends-doing)
• I also like intense colours and contrast in art

• Torture being portrayed as good or effective
• Dragon Age:Inquisition spoilers for Leliana
• Family terms (eg Daddy) in sexual contexts

Smutty likes:

• People being supernaturally horny, for example sex pollen or A/B/O. Bonus points if it is somehow pre negotiated (eg someone arranging for a particular person to help them through their heat in an A/B/O setting.)

• Oral sex. Of all kinds, though I have a particular soft spot for cunnilingus.

Angharad Brightshield/Neave Blacktalon

• · -Ahh, the joys of writing or drawing for characters with one paragraph of characterisation each: complete freedom! But not a whole lot of roadmap. (Neave apparently has a novel now? I haven’t read it yet. Though feel free to spoil me! I love spoilers.)
• · Angharad and Neave meeting because Neave needs Angharad to smith something for her. Or, when the relationship is more established, Angharad smithing a gift for Neave.
• · Kicking the enemies of Sigmar’s butts together.
• · For art, maybe one of the above things in the over the top style of the canon art? 

Zana Mathos/Owain Volker

• · I love the way these two are catching feelings for each other, and are deeply annoyed by it.
• · Beach episode? Grungni has decided that his tools need to be maintained, and apparently holidays are maintenance for humans? Zana and Owain are somewhat annoyed that even on a ‘break’ their stuck together, tensions sizzle, etc.
• · They’re sent to retrieve a Lamentation! –Grungni’s intel turns out not to be great, and it isn’t one.
• · For art: Working as a team to take down a big greebly thing.

 

Adhema/Zana Mathos:

• · You know what’s better than grumpy-colleagues-shipping? Enemyshipping!
• · Feel free to go super dark with this one. Maybe Adhema gets her hands on the Spear, and decides to take Zana captive.

Castlevania

 

Alucard/Trevor Belmont/Sypha Belnades (Netflix); Trevor Belmont/Alucard (Netflix); Trevor Belmont/Sypha Belnades (Netflix); Alucard | Adrian Tepes/Sypha Belnades

• · I’ve put the prompts for all these ships together because I have similar ~feels~ for all these ships, and so I’d end up repeating myself a lot if I separated them. I love the dynamic these characters have with each other, going from arguing and bickering to bantering over the course of the show so far, and working as a team even if they think everyone else involved is an idiot.
• · Trevor and/or Sypha go back to collect Alucard from the Belmont Hold, and go on adventures (and or “adventures” in supporting grieving people)
• · Trevor and Sypha getting into the weird scrapes that only they could get into.
• · Bring down the church! Power to the people! The status is not quo! Aka these goobers attempting a revolution. (With kissing.)

Dragon Age

[NB: for Wardens I have a soft spot for Aeducans, Tabrises and Suranas. For Inquisitors I have a soft spot for Adaars and Cadashes.]

Leliana/Female Warden:

 

· I am always here for discussion of religion. Especially considering that in Origins, Leliana is an eensy bit of a heretic.

 

· Leliana and the Warden comforting each other over their pasts, or sharing stories.

· For art or fic: Leliana and the Warden wandering the world after the Blight, possibly as actual minstrels?

 

Sebastian Vael/Fenris:

· I’d love discussions between these two about their belief (or non-belief) in the Maker, building off their banter conversations.

· For art or fic: Sebastian introducing Fenris to Andrastian/Free Marches festivals.

· Fenris deserves good things, and some tooth rotting fluff wouldn’t go astray.

· In fic, I like it when it’s acknowledged that Sebastian wasn’t always an innocent Chantry boy, and he knows what sex, drugs (and rock’n’roll) are, even if he doesn’t partake at the present time.

 

Merrill/F!Hawke:

· While I always like hurt/comfort, I’d especially like h/c for this pair, whether it’s in the form of ‘comforting each other while they grieve the people they’ve lost’ or ‘one of them gets a cold and the other nurses them back to health’

· or fluff! Fluff is good!

· Hawke and Merrill get separated from the rest of their party in the wilderness, and Merrill uses her Dalish knowledge to help get them out.

· Merrill teaches mage!hawke blood magic

· For art, fighting together as a team!

 

F!Hawke/Aveline Vallen:

· I love the tension between Aveline’s role as captain of the guard and as Hawke’s friend/lover, considering how many questionably legal things Hawke does.

· I also love Aveline’s awkwardness and inability to articulate herself romantically

· Aveline recruiting Hawke’s other friends to help her flirt with Hawke would be hilarious.

· Aveline recruiting Hawke to help her flirt with Hawke would be double hilarious.

· For art: Aveline giving Hawke a meaningful gift (with Aveline being the only one who understands it’s meaning, probably) or going on a walk through Kirkwall together.

Female Inquisitor/Josephine Montilyet

• · For art, ballroom dancing would be nice. In the fanciest of dresses.
• · Giving each other gifts
• · Inquisitor convinces Josephine to sing/play (whatever instrument she played as a bard) for her, and is very impressed

 

Zevran/Alistair:

· It starts out as ‘we’re probably going to die in the Blight, let’s blow off some steam’ and slowly becomes a romantic relationship, and neither one knows what the heck to do with this. (Bonus points for ‘Me, feelings? Never!’)

· The angsty version: Alistair ascends to the throne, and has a sensible political marriage. But he still sneaks out to see Zevran. (He’s still in love with Zevran, too.)

· The fluffy version: If you help stop the Blight, and become king in the process, you should be allowed to get away with odd things, Alistair thinks. Like marrying an Antivan Crow. The Fereldan nobles are shocked! Scandalised! But can’t really complain considering the whole stopped-the-Blight-thing. Zev is pretty happy being Prince-consort. Not only does he get to live in luxury, but also when he tries to take down the Crows, he has the political backing of Fereldan.

 

Josephine Montilyet/Cassandra Pentaghast

• · Part of me loves the idea of them trying to woo each other in a ‘proper’ manner, but having difficulties because Cassandra got her idea of proper from mostly books, and Josephine got it from active in the nobility/being diplomatic.
• · Or Cassandra tries to do a whole Courtly Love thing (featuring your love not being requited but it not mattering, grand gestures of affection, think Arthurian stuff) and being foiled by the fact Josie likes her back.
• · For art, either a drawing of the Grand Gestures, or them reading together would be nice.

Zevran Arainai/Female Warden (Dragon Age); Zevran Arainai/Male Warden (Dragon Age)

• · Hurt/comfort is great with this pair, especially mutual h/c. Zevran does not like to admit how much his backstory sucks, but he still deserves comfort.
• · How did the Wardens feelings for Zevran change? At what point did they go ‘oh shit, I have fallen for the guy who tried to kill me?’ Or did they never think of the situation like that. (Feel free to use your own warden if you want to! I love reading about other people’s wardens.)
• · Zevran being protective.

Cassandra Pentaghast/Aveline Vallen (Dragon Age)

• · I love these goobers, with their principles, and their protectiveness… and their deep, deep inability to flirt and tendency to get flustered.
• · Cassandra and Aveline try and woo each other with gifts—that don’t make sense to anyone but them, leading to them being upset that the other doesn’t like them, and confusion about why the other keeps giving them weird things? (They sort it out. Eventually.)
• · Alternatively, looking at how they try and help people and keep things together during the Inquisition era. Possibly an AU where they’re able to work together?

 

Deltarune

  Kris/Ralsei (Deltarune)

· I’m really interested in explorations of Ralsei’s… lack of self esteem? Co-dependent-ness? …his general prioritisation of everyone else over himself. How does Kris feel about that? (…Is there any difference in how Kris and The Player/The Heart feel about that?) (…Does Kris take advantage of this? Does Kris try to stop it?)

· Does Ralsei notice the difference between Kris and The Heart, if Ralsei ends up in Town or something along those lines?

· Does Ralsei end up in Town? Or does Kris end up in the other world again?

· (I am fine with sexual content about these two, but please age them up.)

  Kris & Ralsei & Susie (Deltarune); Kris & Lancer & Ralsei & Susie (Deltarune)

• · I am a sucker for friendship fic feat. Shenanigans. Do Kris and Susie end up going to the other world again, or do Ralsei and Lancer end up in town. Do they end up doing hijinks? (Or rather, do Susie and/or Kris and/or Lancer end up doing hijinks, while Raslei tries in vain to stop them?

Revolutionary Girl Utena

Himemiya Anthy/Tenjou Utena (Utena)

· I’d be very interested in what happens to them after the events of the show. Does Anthy find Utena? How does she find her? (I have a soft spot for the ‘how’ being incredibly mundane, with Anthy and Utena being free of Ohtori Academy meaning they are free from its fairy tale logic. I’d also be interested in Anthy adjusting to not being able to lean on fairy tale logic any more.)
· I am also a sucker for ‘missing scenes,’ moments that we didn’t get to see in canon.
· Hurt/comfort? Hurt/comfort.

Arisugawa Juri/Takatsuki Shiori (Utena)

· Feel free to pile on the angst, the co-dependency, the works! This relationship is a slow motion car crash and I love it.
· …though I also quite like ‘these two eventually sort themselves out, and have a healthy relationship despite the past’
· Or AUs where the whole ‘unable to admit they have feelings for each other, deal with this very badly’ never had to happen. (Especially a fantasy/fantastical AU). 

 Kiryuu Touga/Saionji Kyouichi (Utena)

· I love this pairing, precisely for how terrible everyone involved is. Feel free to go dark—neither Touga nor Saionji really can do healthy relationships, can they?
· What happens to them after Utena disappears, and the duelling game stops? What happens once they leave Ohtori (do they ever manage to leave Ohtori? Does only one of them manage to leave?)
· Working in the movie canon is highly encouraged. Both in the sense of ‘what if Touga was dead and/or a ghost’ or ‘jeez, child!Saionji’s desire to be like/to be mature like Touga has some dark implications there.’

 

Silmarillion

 

Celebrimbor/Maeglin (Silmarillion)

• · For this ship, I love both fluff... and absurdly tragic ‘rip the reader’s heart out with a spoon’ stuff
• · Does Celebrimbor see Maeglin’s betrayal of Gondolin as a betrayal directly or indirectly of him? Did Maeglin try to warn him... or not? If you want to go dark with ship, go as dark as you like.
• · While I also like Maeglin only giving away Gondolin’s location because he was coerced, I like characterisation of Maeglin where he gave away Gondolin willingly (mostly because I don’t see that characterisation often.)
• · Is Maeglin torn between his love for (unnattainable) Idril and (attainable) Celebrimbor? Is Celebrimbor aware of the torch Maeglin holds for Idril? Does he feel he needs to compete?
• · For fluff, working together in the forge would be good.

Celebrimbor | Telperinquar/Narvi

• · Crafting together! I know I’ve suggested that for a lot of ships, but that’s because I like it. Whether it’s drawing them together in the forge, or writing about their creative process, I love it. Especially if there’s an emphasis on how important the working together/making things/the Art is an important part of their relationship.
• · Elf-dwarf culture clash is always fun

Aredhel & Maeglin | Lómion (Silmarillion)

• · I’d love to see an exploration of their family dynamic. For example, Aredhel secretly
  
• teaching Maeglin about the Noldor, about the rest of his family. But any exploration of their mother-son relationship would be great
• · Aredhel Lives AUs are also great. I just want her to be able to see her son grow up.
• · As a general note, I’m not a big fan of Eöl, so if possible I’d much prefer he’s more of a background character, or at least not overly sympathetic.

 

Celebrimbor | Telperinquar/Sauron | Mairon (Silmarillion)

• · One of the reasons I like this ship because there’s points in the timeline where things look like they’re going great! Everything is awesome! This helpful Maia is very awesome! But as a reader you know everything is going to crash and burn. So feel free to lean into that dramatic irony. I also like it because it could have worked, if only Sauron… wasn’t Sauron.
• · I’m a big fan of fic set in the Eregion era.
• · I like helpful!nice!Celebrimbors as much as the next person, but I’m also a big fan of more ambitious, darker Celebrimbors. I like the idea of Celebrimbor initially being jealous of Sauron when he first shows up in Eregion, because Celebrimbor prided himself being the best smith, and where does this Maia get off on being so helpful, anyway? And eventually the rivalry becomes romantic, and Celebrimbor considers that maybe he was judging Annatar too harshly—and then the Rings happen.

 

 

 

Celebrimbor | Telperinquar & Curufin | Curufinwë (Silmarillion)

· I’m really interested in this father-son relationship—and how it broke. How does Celebrimbor feel about cutting off Curufin? Does he have mixed feelings, or is he resolved to it? Was it a sudden decision for him, or one that was a long time coming? How does Curufin feel about being cut off? Does he feel like Celebrimbor betrayed him, or is he comforting himself with the fact that at least Celebrimbor escaped the orbit of his Doom? Does he think Celebrimbor will change his mind?

· I’m also a sucker for re-embodiment redemption/forgiveness fics. I’d like it if Curufin acknowledges that he made mistakes/was the one at fault. I’m also interest in how the relationship gets rebuilt, how it is different from their previous one.

 Curufin | Curufinwë/Finrod Felagund | Findaráto (Silmarillion)

• · I love the rivalry, the differing philosophies of these two. They’re very different from each other, but in a way that makes the chemistry between the two fascinating.
• · I’m particularly interested in things set in Nargothrond, or re-embodiment fic. (I am a sucker for both ‘how did things go so, so wrong’ fic and redemption fic.
• · For art: Curufin giving a (probably sarcastic) to Finrod.

Aredhel/Galadriel (Silmarillion – Tolkien)

· I’ve only recently discovered this ship, but I love it. Two bold, headstrong, who end up very separated in the end, by philosophy and circumstance.
· While I’m not normally that into First Age Aman fiction, I’d be interested in some between them—especially if their relationship in Aman is contrasted with their relationship in Beleriand. (Did their relationship change? Did it change during the journey across the ice? Did it change when Galadriel went to Doriath, where Aredhel couldn’t go?)
· How does Galadriel feel about Aredhel disappearing, both into Gondolin and then in Nan Elmoth? Does she ever find out what happened to Aredhel? (Does she manage to find out who Eöl’s wife is?) Does she find out how or when she died, or does she just have to guess?
· Meeting each other again in Valinor, after Galadriel takes the boat into the West and Aredhel is re-embodied. How has their life experiences changed their relationship. (Is this when the romantic relationship starts, or re-starts?)

Beleg Cúthalion/Túrin Turambar (Silmarillion)

· “If I remained with thee, love would lead me, not wisdom” is such a beautiful line, I love it. I generally love Beleg’s loyalty to Túrin, even when it’s against his better judgment.
· (I’ll also admit I find the frankly absurd age gap amusing.)
· Missing scene fic, or going into more detail about things that canon glossed over would be really cool.
· Beleg Lives or Beleg Dies Later in a Different But Equally Tragic Way AUs are also really cool.
