I have been waiting with bated breath my hold request The Raven Stratagem by Yoon Ha Lee to come through the library. (Especially because the hold request for the book after it had already come through.)

I do have a family member who has expressed willingness to retrieve things from the outside world for me, including library books, but I think I'll hold out. Best case scenario: I'll be set free in three days, and the library keeps books on their request/hold shelf for a week. Worst case scenario: the library probably really doesn't want covid-19 germs on their library books. (And I'll need to call them anyway in that case, on account of the books I already have borrowed, and it'd be simple enough to ask 'could you keep the book I have a hold on on the shelf until I get out of quarantine?')
