The temptation to just... defer till next semester Is High. Like, it is explicitly available listed as an option. And provided a nice-case scenario for the pandemic, it's not a crazy idea? I'd get to do the project I actually wanted, and I wouldn't even be disadvantaging the other Honours students. I've had back to back to back disasters that mean I only had two days in the lab. "Let's try this again in three months time" seems incredibly reasonable.
