Two paths diverge in a rocky wood.

So, normally I alternate what writing projects I work on. I spend one day on the novel, and then the next day on fanfic, and then repeat the cycle. There's various reasons I do this, though one of the big ones is so I don't feel "trapped" working on one big project like my original novel. And I can continue doing this!

But. NaNoWriMo is coming up. And I want to do it-- but I'm not sure doing it with an already half written novel is a great idea, and nor do I want to stop working on my novel for a month. ...unless, say, I had already finished the first draft, and was merely letting it rest for a month. And if I just worked on my novel for the rest of September and October, I could probably manage to get the first draft done. Which would people recommend? A. keep alternating B. focus on the novel

And while I am doing polls: I am going away to work in the middle of nowhere for three weeks. I can fic two craft projects in my suitcase.

What should I take?

  1. the knit sweater I have started
  2. the brainless rib scarf
  3. the mini hexagon bi pride lap blanket
  4. doll clothes (aka finally covering up Wen Kexing's nakedness)
  5. hand spun yarn
