I have been very busy with moving, and thus not writing. I'm annoyed, because I feel I Should(TM) be able to write even when busy and stressed... but also I'm realistic that moving has eaten most of my brain and energy and giving myself grace.

But something I noticed was when I was in the pre-move organising phase, my fic output went... strange. Now, I'm aware that 'normal' and 'strange' are kind of meaningless in the context of fanfic (writing fiction but especially fanfic is a bit of a weird thing to do inherently?), but like. Once these WIPs are edited I am posting them on anon, you know? The dove is dead, and it may not be getting eaten or taxidermied, it is getting used for an anatomical prosection and I may be plastinating it.

When I started moving, the writing dried up, except for one snippet that came to me in the shower and I wrote up on my phone before I forgot. And that snippet is... totally normal? It's h/c with a normal hurt featuring normal comfort.

My only hypothesis is that:

Very stressed: Fic goes strange

VERY STRESSED: ...and then the fic horseshoe theories itself back to normal?
