Ideas?

So, I've finished a big fic project. I'm happy! It's complete! ...but I'm at an eensy bit of a loss on what to write now.

Below is some-- more or less brainstorming, I would say. Getting the ideas out into list form so I can better evaluate what to do, and to gauge interest. I can't promise I'll do the most popular one, but letting me know which idea is your favourite, or suggestions (eg '[trope] would go so well with [story idea]), or even prompts for the more nebulous ones would be awesome.

• Someone has to write some Eight Lamentations fic, and it may as well be me. And more specifically, someone needs to write the Zana/Owain ship fic. (How else will the voice actors fill their time*?) The rough plot so far: things have been relatively quiet on the magical-weapons-of-mass-destruction, and Grungni thinks it's a good time to maintain his tools. His human tools, that is. Living things need rest, relaxation, time to recharge and gather their strength. But, he thinks, he can't just order Owain and Zana to relax, they'd insist on being useful. He has to convince them they are being useful-- so he sends them to a tropical island to "keep an eye out", because Grungni is not brilliant at people, and assumes that tropical climates are inherently relaxing regardless of what you are doing in them. So Zana and Owain are frantically looking for a Lamentation where there isn't one, slowly coming to terms with their feelings for each other... and slowly realising wtf Grungni was playing at, WTF GRUNGNI.
• Re-embodied Finrod masturbates while fantasising about werewolves. Featuring the requisite wanking, ofc, but also an internal monologue of 'wtf??? when did werewolves become erotic? wtf brain! wtf sexuality! why am i doing this. why.'
• Amenta! So many opportunities to make fan works for media properties that don't really exist, so many opportunities to play around in a fandom culture that does not really exist. I'm torn between the 'case-fic combined with wish-fulfillment-fic about the autopsy tech in a CSI-like show' fic or the 'fic for the angsty visual novel feat. all the taboos Amenta has.' [God, I love Amenta. And I'm kinda kicking myself that I didn't write/finish the autopsy tech fic during it's hey-day.]
• Femslash??? There is insufficient femslash on this list. I don't have any specific ideas-- but I was reading sciatrix's femslash meta list, and thinking 'Challenge. Accepted.' especially about the writing smutty femslash. I just need, like, a pairing, and a plot. (I could always write the second draft of The Fic That Would Have To Be Anon.)
• Celebrimbor leaves Nargothrond for Gondolin. He's bitter-- bitter that he has to start all over, to start with no respect, to be distrusted, to have to struggle against his family name-- but he's also burning with ambition. And he meets Maeglin, a party animal that's given up craft, that's put the making of things behind him. And at first, Celebrimbor hates him, why should he respect someone who gave up?-- But something pulls them together. Something about each other calls the other to greatness, something about them is complementary, given time they could reshape the world-- but they don't have time. This is Fall of Gondolin compliant. Gondolin is doomed, Maeglin has betrayed it, they could have had it all~ but alas.

*Fun fact about the Eight Lamentations series: In interviews, the author, Josh Reynolds, has made it very clear that he doesn't see Zana and Owain's relationship as romantic. They're adversarial coworkers to grudging friends, at best. The voice actors have made it equally clear in interviews that they ship it, so hard. It's kind of hilarious.

If I may cast some very selfish, id-indulging votes:

Finrod + werewolves is always a winning combo BUT I will always always vote femslash if given the opportunity. I've always seen a lot of potential in Miriel/Indis, especially like pre-Valinor - my personal heartcanon is that Miriel and Indis were a thing first and they brought Finwë on board later. Or you're a DA fan too, right? Because Merribela is always a win in my book.

Or Rule 63 something, if you're comfortable with that. I still haven't drawn Celebrimbor/Maeglin as anything but genderbent f/f >.>

Id-indulging votes are the best kind of votes!

I really should do some Silm femslash-- my main issue with with Silm femslash is that female characters are so thin on the ground that I keep having half a ship, like 'Aredhel/...someone. idk who. Curufin's wife???' Though Miriel/Indis sounds interesting, as does combining the Celebrimbor/Maeglin idea with rule 63.

And yep, I'm a DA fan too. Merribela is such a good.
