I tried to be a Doc Marten's queer, but honestly I'm a steel-toed workboot queer at heart.

(That sounds more like a metaphor than a factual statement of my footwear choices, but it is the latter. The workboots are just so much more comfy and you don't need to tie up laces. And honestly they're equally likely to injure me as the Docs, so--)

Where are you buying workboots that don't require extensive lacing???? That's the primary issue I have with them. I cannot be constantly untying and retying that many laces all the damn time.

I'd love to be more helpful, but I just got it from one of the local tradie shops (ie the sort of place where you also buy high vis vests and that sort of thing) but I don't remember which, or what brand.

It looks like the secret keyword for such a thing is either 'elastic sided' or 'pull up' work boot.
