In chipper-er news, Vox has done a... timeline? explanation? of Gritty, and it's a wonderful read.
I love this bizarre orange monstrosity.
Also, I've rediscovered ChemKnits, who does videos about different ways of dyeing wool-- mostly using food dye. You can get a lot of different affects with food dye! And she goes through how to get them, and how different techniques work, and how different colours behave etc. (I personally find 'breaking' dyes into their different colour components really cool.)
I feel like I have to link to her Dyeing With Candy Canes video. Not because it's seasonal, but because it made me shout 'wHAT?' at the screen. Like, logically I know it should work! Food dye can dye wool, candy canes contain food dye, QED you can dye wool with candy canes. But it's rather another thing to see it happen! And I feel like that video expresses the True Chemknits Spirit or 'wtf WHY IS THAT WORKING?'
