Dec. 6th, 2019 06:14 pmThe plumbing continues.
It's stressful-- and really frustrating. Because dealing with it is exhausting, both in the 'surprise! you need to move more furniture!' sense and also the constant energy drain of things being in the wrong place and having to be ready to be cast out at any minute... and it's an exhausting thing I have no choice in the matter about. I'm not tired because I chose to do something tiring, tiring things are happening to me whether I want that to happen or not.
And it's-- unpleasant.
Also, I have a thing I need advice on. Just before the plumbing issues started, I put a load of washing in the washing machine. And then I couldn't do anything about it for ~48 hours, so I washed it again to get any mould growth out when I next got the chance. ...and now the machine is behind a taped up tarpaulin for the next few days while people attack the house's foundations with heavy duty machinery. And I can't get to the clothes. What's the best way to deal with any mould growth that happens while the clothes are stuck in the washing machine? Or is this a situation where it would be a good idea to ask the plumbers "Hey, once you've finished today's work, do you mind if I partially take down some of the tarps, to rescue the clothes trapped in the washing machine?'

Date: 2019-12-07 01:00 am (UTC)I would definitely ask. It's a totally reasonable thing to want to do, and if it's really a problem for some reason they can say no.

Date: 2019-12-07 06:30 am (UTC)...taking them out may be a challenge, because the washing machine is Covered In Things That Had To Be Moved In A Hurry, so it may take some excavation. But soon, the clothes will be rescued!
