Apr. 15th, 2020 05:54 pmSo, I used to pretty regularly reach the recommended 10,000 steps a day just because that was many steps (walking to the bus + walking to class) x 2 was. But now that classes are online, I wasn't getting that many steps.
Wasn't.
I've started going on walks around my suburb, exploring and noodling around, and keeping going till I get 10,000 steps. Doing the full 10,000 all at once is a bit tiring, but it means I only have to get my ducks in a row for a walk once. And exploring my local area keeps it from being too same-y, which helps with the motivation. I'm just harnessing my natural 'Too the horizon!' instincts into exercise. And it's been going well! The past few days I've been consistently reaching my step goal or near abouts.
And I found a cool new park with a creek and a bridge. Okay, it's kinda a bit far away to casually explore (also: so many bike riders and dog walkers. So many.), but it was cool to find.
