"Hmm, this WIP is a little hard to write/outline, because it's long and I'm having to try and work out what order to put scenes in for maximum emotional impact, and such like. I know, I'll take a break by writing a nice lil' treat for the Little Black Dress Exchange. I can do that, and still have time to work on my WIP before the next lot of exchanges."

[treat ends up being longer than I expected, in an in hindsight predictable way]

[my writing speed slows down, due to being more busy and a bit of "the stars" "can't do it" "nuh" "the stars aren't right"]

[The Battleship Exchange approaches on the horizon, I haven't even got the treat done yet.]

Writing: such a fun hobby, that never makes a mockery of ones time management skills.

...I'm actually tempted to do Iddy Iddy Bang Bang, because while it will mean I am doing three different fandom events at once, I might be able to harness the power of deadlines to work on my WIP. (The main stumbling block is I'm not sure if my current WIP is iddy, as such? It's deeply self indulgent, but it's self indulgent in a more "projecting? moi? say it isn't so!"/"...I think I am creating the world's weirdest whump fic"/"the religious worldbuilding oppurtunities in this setting is so cool, you guys!" way that say a "werewolf arranged marriage" way.
