Sep. 26th, 2020 01:32 pmI am PROUD of myself.
Earlier this week, I made a calculated risk-- and screwed up the maths, and destroyed a Very Precious Sample for my Honours project that had taken me a month to make. And this would be a very bad set back at the best of times, but I have to stop all wet chem in a month's time, and I needed that sample. How was I to re-make that sample, and still have enough time to do all the other things?
I have re-made the sample.
It took me two and a bit days.
And I'm proud of this, because I didn't achieve it by crunching or "If I arrive at the lab at 6 am, and stay till midnight..." I achieved it by working out what the most efficient way to make the sample was, making a production line, and putting in a reasonable amount of effort. My knowledge and skill and experience from making this thing paid off, and paid off as RESULTS.
...I am going to be insufferable and "work smarter, not harder! [air punch]" for a bit.
