Hello, person who I have been matched with! No matter what you make,I'm probably going to really like it, but I know it's much easier to come up with an idea if you've got some guidance.

If you have an idea unrelated to these prompts, also go ahead! I’m guaranteed to like what you make. I’ve also got why I like certain ships mixed in with the prompts. While I’ve listed separate art prompts for most of the ships, feel free to use the writing prompts as art prompts (or the art prompts as writing prompts!) Length is not related to how much I like the ships, and more to how many prompts I could come up with off the top of my head. (And lack of art prompts isn’t related to whether I want art for a ship or not, but likewise to whether I could think of one off the top of my head.)

Things I like:

fluff that has a minor conflict. Things like ‘my SO has had a bad day: I'm gonna make it better!’ or ‘oh no, we forgot that [event] is coming up and have to quickly prepare!’
Hurt/comfort
Angst with a happy ending
Mutual pining/wanting to get together but not be able because [reason], with [reason] being resolved at the end
Kissing! Forehead kisses, kisses on the cheek, full on make outs: kissing is great!
Cuddling! I feel the same way about cuddling as I do about kissing! It’s all good. I especially like characters falling asleep leaning against each other.
For some ships (they'll be specified in the prompts) I like exploring the messed up dynamics and/or the terrible-idea-ness of the relationship. (Drawing that symbolically is highly encouraged)
I love characters giving into temptation, for lack of a better description? Like, knowing that a particular relationship is a bad idea, but going into it anyway.
While I love fluff deeply, with femslash I also love stories where the protagonists are flawed, or the plot ends up dark, or both.
Politics! I love characters trying to navigate it, the tension between their political persona and they’re actual persona, the ethical dilemmas of power, all of it!
Dancing, either partner dances or just both people happening to dance at the same time.
For art, I like coloured lighting and unusual/restricted palettes. For example, things like the pallettes in this (http://wolffyluna.tumblr.com/post/162039926194/askthestargazers-i-saw-some-friends-doing)
I also like intense colours and contrast in art
Horses! Whether they're just in the background, or are a major part of the art/plot. I love horses

Dislikes/DNWs:

Torture being portrayed as good or effective
Explicit on-screen rape (I don’t mind it being mentioned, but I do mind stories going into detail about it.)
Inquisition spoilers for Leliana. (Spoilers for other characters are fine.)

Smutty likes:

People being supernaturally horny, for example sex pollen or A/B/O. Bonus points if it is somehow pre negotiated (eg someone arranging for a particular person to help them through their heat in an A/B/O setting.)
Rope bondage.
Oral sex. Of all kinds, though I have a particular soft spot for cunnilingus.
Explicit negotiation.
Consentacles
Intercrural sex

On to the prompts and ships!

Merrill/F!Hawke:

While I always like hurt/comfort, I’d especially like h/c for this pair, whether it’s in the form of ‘comforting each other while they grieve the people they’ve lost’ or ‘one of them gets a cold and the other nurses them back to health’
or fluff! Fluff is good!
Hawke and Merrill get separated from the rest of their party in the wilderness, and Merrill uses her Dalish knowledge to help get them out.
Merrill teaches mage!hawke blood magic
For art, fighting together as a team!

F!Hawke/Aveline Vallen:

I love the tension between Aveline’s role as captain of the guard and as Hawke’s friend/lover, considering how many questionably legal things Hawke does.
I also love Aveline’s awkwardness and inability to articulate herself romantically
Aveline recruiting Hawke’s other friends to help her flirt with Hawke would be hilarious.
Aveline recruiting Hawke to help her flirt with Hawke would be double hilarious.
For art: Aveline giving Hawke a meaningful gift (with Aveline being the only one who understands it’s meaning, probably) or going on a walk through Kirkwall together.

Josephine Montilyet/Female Trevelyan:

It starts out as a just a professional relationship: even though Trevelyan can play the Game well enough, Josephine is better. And it starts out as just professional admiration, with Josephine admiring the Inquisitor’s Inquisitorial skills, and Trevelyan admiring Josephine’s diplomatic skills. And then it blossoms into something more.
Giving each other gifts
Inquisitor convinces Josephine to sing/play whatever instrument she played as a bard for her, and is very impressed
For art, ballroom dancing would be nice. In the fanciest of dresses.

Josephine Montilyet/Cassandra Pentaghast

Part of me loves the idea of them trying to woo each other in a ‘proper’ manner, but having difficulties because Cassandra got her idea of proper from mostly books, and Josephine got it from active in the nobility/being diplomatic, and those two things do not have a lot of overlap.
Or Cassandra tries to do a whole Courtly Love thing (featuring your love not being requited but it not mattering, grand gestures of affection, think Arthurian stuff) and being foiled by the fact Josie likes her back.
For art, either a drawing of the Grand Gestures, or them reading together would be nice.
It could be interesting to look at how Cassandra has rejected her nobility to do good in the world, while Josephine has embraced it.

Anders/Sebastian Vael:

This ship is somewhat nonsensical, I first thought of it when doing nominations, but I love it already.
Anders and Sebastian both believe in the Maker, but at very different angles, so maybe have them having a friendly debate about their beliefs?
I kind of love the idea of Sebastian going ‘okay, I am NOT going to date the apostate, that is a terrible idea... okay, too late, at least I can’t make it worse... aaaaand there goes my vows. Damn it.’ Just a slow, halting backslide(?) that Sebastian can’t stop. (Bonus points for Anders also going ‘I am not going to date the literal Chantry brother-- damnit.’)
For art or fic: Sebastian helping out Anders at the clinic. It may not be official channels, Anders may be an apostate, but helping people is more important than either of those. (And maybe if he’s closer to Anders, Sebastian thinks, he can convince him to stop being an apostate and go to the Circle.)
Playing with the fact that if they are in a relationship, Anders blowing up the Chantry is even more of a betrayal.
Or the fact that Sebastian Vael is at first motivated by vengeance, and Anders shares his body with a spirit of Justice/Vengeance
In fic, I like it when it’s acknowledged that Sebastian wasn’t always an innocent Chantry boy, and he knows what sex, drugs (and rock’n’roll) are, even if he doesn’t partake at the present time.
Another art prompt: Blow me away with schmoopiness. Kissing each other on the forehead, that kinda stuff.

Sebastian Vael/Fenris:

I’d love discussions between these two about their belief (or non-belief) in the Maker, building off their banter conversations.
For art or fic: Sebastian introducing Fenris to Andrastian/Free Marches festivals.
Fenris deserves good things, and some tooth rotting fluff wouldn’t go astray.
In fic, I like it when it’s acknowledged that Sebastian wasn’t always an innocent Chantry boy, and he knows what sex, drugs (and rock’n’roll) are, even if he doesn’t partake at the present time.

M!Hawke/Sebastian Vael:

You may have noticed a theme in my Sebastian ship prompts with ‘religious discussions.’ I just love characters discussing religion, and how different beliefs change how people relate to each other. I don’t have a Male Hawke, so feel free to make Hawke’s religious views whatever you want.
For art or fic: Celebrating religious holidays together.
In fic, I like it when it’s acknowledged that Sebastian wasn’t always an innocent Chantry boy, and he knows what sex, drugs (and rock’n’roll) are, even if he doesn’t partake at the present time.
While I don’t mind Seb and Hawke having a sexual relationship, I love the idea of them being aggressively chaste and even more aggressively schmoopy.

Morrigan/Female Amell:

I love the idea of a sheltered slash rebellious-but-there’s-only-so-much-you-can-rebel-in-a-Circle Amell revelling in her new found freedom, and falling in love with an apostate who’s been ‘free’ her whole life. Possibly being led astray by her, too.
For art or fic: Morrigan ends up trusting Amell enough to teach her to shapeshift.
For art or fic: Morrigan is more intuitive, Amell has a more scientific bent, but they’re both power hungry, so they collaborate to learn new magic.

Female Aeducan/Gorim Saelac:

I like this in both ‘courtly love’ forms, or ‘your the person I see the most, and the only person I can trust.’
Aeducan and Gorim meet again on the surface, surprised and delighted to find out the other is alive.
The Blight is over, Aeducan has her noble title back, and Gorim has been promoted to the noble caste. What does this mean for their relationship?]

Anora Mac Tir/Ser Cauthrien:

Again, I am a sucker for courtly love. Or courtly love that is requited, or that both parties wish could be requited if circumstances could allow for it.
Ser Cauthrien was at Ostagar, and was possibly aware that Anora was being held prisoner. But she is still loyal to Loghain. How does this divided loyalty affect her relationship with Anora?
Anora ascends to the throne, and most likely remarries, but Ser Cauthrien regularly sneaks into Anora’s bedchambers at her request.
For art: Ser Cauthrien being knighted by Anora, or kneeling to make an oath.

Zevran/Alistair:

It starts out as ‘we’re probably going to die in the Blight, let’s blow off some steam’ and slowly becomes a romantic relationship, and neither one knows what the heck to do with this. (Bonus points for ‘Me, feelings? Never!’)
The angsty version: Alistair ascends to the throne, and has a sensible political marriage. But he still sneaks out to see Zevran. (He’s still in love with Zevran, too.)
The fluffy version: If you help stop the Blight, and become king in the process, you should be allowed to get away with odd things, Alistair thinks. Like marrying an Antivan Crow. The Fereldan nobles are shocked! Scandalised! But can’t really complain considering the whole stopped-the-Blight-thing. Zev is pretty happy being Prince-consort. Not only does he get to live in luxury, but also when he tries to take down the Crows, he has the political backing of Fereldan.

Female Aeducan/Zevran:

Sometimes an exiled noble needs the help of an assassin to kill her other brother. Sometimes an assassin needs directions in Orzammar. Sometimes the two fall in love despite the better judgment of both.
I also like them falling in love over the course of beating the Blight. From the ‘oh no they’re hot’ of their first meeting to the ‘oh no I’m in love’ of later.

Leliana/Female Tabris:

I am always here for discussion of religion. Especially considering that in Origins, Leliana is an eensy bit of a heretic, and I’m not sure how comfortable Andrastianism is for the average city elf or Tabris in particular.
Leliana and Tabris both have sucky pasts, and it would be nice to see them comforting each other over that
Leliana and Tabris sharing stories, both folklore and ‘did I ever tell you about that one ball?’ or ‘so, when Shianni was six--’
For art or fic: Leliana and Tabris wandering the world after the Blight, possibly as actual minstrels?

Anders/Karl Thekla:

For art or fic: Them sneaking around the Circle. Sneaking kisses, just skeaking around generally, etc.
Considering these two canonically wrote letters to each other, epistolary fic could be fun!
An AU where they work they manage to un-Tranquil Karl, or work out that it’s exposure to Justice that does it if even if they can’t permanently un-Tranquil him. I am a sucker for fix it fic.

OCs:

I thought I’d list out the traits of some of my player characters. However, these are totally optional. If you want to write your own Hawke, or Aeducan, go ahead! These are here if more guidelines would be helpful, not if they make it more difficult.

Sereda Aeducan:

A power hungry political animal, who tends to make the moral choice mostly because it’s good PR.
Would very much like to be Dwarven nobility again, not willing to work with Bhelen to get it.
Bisexual.
