Food Job Update
Feb. 3rd, 2022 10:56 amI let them know last week that I was interested-- conditional on seeing the contract.
They have yet to show me one.
My sources on the inside tell me that HR is hard to reach at the best of times, and has also got themselves stuck in a logical loop. Apparently they can't draw up a contract until they know when the person going on maternity leave plans to go on maternity leave. Which is somewhat '???' because a) I am being hired for a permanent position, and would need to be trained before the other person goes on maternity leave anyway, so when they leave doesn't affect when they want to hire me? and b) the thing about maternity leave is that you can't perfectly predict when you'll need it, you know?
But in happier news, I recently did an interview with a mining company! No clue if they'll offer me a position, but it's nice to know that I can get interviews?
